  Rained in the morning

and turned to snow

  Thos Halliwill put in

a wagon reach

  The boys made a corn

crib”

 

Sunday, November 9:

     Wind west

 Froze hard and the

roads quite rough

 Went to the center

to meeting  Mr Hurlburt

preached   a large

congregation”

 

Monday, November 10:

     Wind South

  Went to Liverpool to

see about the embankment

to the bridge at Hard

scrabble  took Dinner at

Nathan Carr’s   Agreed to

pay one half from County

Treasury   home at 8 P.M.”

 

Tuesday, November 11:

     Wind South

  Went to the center to

get horses shod and

wagon fixed

  Orville and Electa com

menced going to school

to the center”

 

Wednesday, November 12:

     Wind Southwest

  Went to Jacob Alberts

to see about a sulkey

home at 1 Oclock P.M.

  Margaret continues

to improve slowly

  The boys choped stove wood”

 

Thursday, November 13:

  Warm and pleasant

Wrote a letter to D Shafer

and one to B Veeder

  The boys continued

to chop wood”

 

Friday, November 14:

     Wind west & North

  Rained in the after

noon and then turned

to snow with cold North

wind  Mrs Brimsmade

& Mrs Landon made us

a visit   Went to the center

to Societies Meeting”

 

Saturday, November 15:

  Went to Harrisville

to see a bridge near

C Alberts on Black river

home at 6 Oclock P.M.

  No school  Orville

commenced plowing in

lot south of west woods”

     Cold with snow squalls

    Attended Church at the

center  Mr Hurlburt preached

his farewell sermon a

large congregation”

 

Monday, November 17:

  still cold and snow squalls

Drawed a little wood

in the afternoon

  Jess Seeley & wife made

us a visit in the eve

ning

  A little more moderate

   Went to Medina with

S Sawyer & wife to get

them a stove”

  commenced threshing

clover  it is verry Dry

  Mr Main came to

Dress stone for doorsteps

Miss Rebecca Young

is sewing for us this

  Finished threshing clover

at noon   Plowed in the

afternoon  Clear and

pleasant and fine plow

ing

  The boys plowed

  Attended the meeting

of the Church and society

in the afternoon  Genealogy Home

at 5 Oclock P.M.

 The Miss Clevelands made

us a visit”

them at the Door

when it commenced

raining and continued

  cold and blustering

Plowed as yesterday

Mary Bachtell Died

today at noon

 Finished plowing corn

and Buckwheat ground

south of the west woods”

 

Thursday, November 27:

  Plowed corn ground

west of the lane

Orville got kicked with

a horse at the center

fetched him home in

the after noon

  Set up with him”

 

Friday, November 28:

  Orville sick through

the night  vomited often

and some blood

  The boys plowed as yesterday

  Mr Hurlburt and wife made

us a visit

  Mr Newton set up with

Orville”

wind changed and snowed

part of the Day

  Orville a little better than

yesterday

  Too stormy to plow”

attend commissioners

meeting  regular session

a great amount of bus

iness presented

   The boys plowed in the

  Commissioners in

session as yesterday

forenoon too stormy

to plow in the afternoon”

 

Wednesday, December 3:

 Very blustering all

Day with snow squalls

 Commissioners finished

up their business and

adjourned  home at

six Oclock P.M.”

helped French kill his

beef   the boys Drawed wood

 Let Mr Whitman have 42½

bushels oats at .28 per bus.

  Went to J Frenches in the

afternoon and evening the

first time Margaret has been out”

froze hard  Made a visit

Jesse’s in the afternoon

  Mr Mconnell & wife and

Mr Landon & wife made

us a visit in the evening”

which is nearly finished

and accepted the same

to Liverpool   got one Dollar

made us visit

to see 40 acres of land

which he offered to

trade me and then

and went back

  Traded with Mr Bostater

80 acres of land for his

40 acres and $100.00 to boot

and wrote Deeds for the

same   after which Mr Bostater

made me another offer and

I sold him the 80 acres”

and entered into an arti

cle of agreement with A

Bostater for the land and

he paid $100.00 Down

and is to pay $250.00

more”
